Select enough relevant evidence to support the knowledge, qualifying employment and proposed assignment under the applicable requirements. More pages are not automatically more persuasive. Identify what each example proves and avoid burying the central explanation in unrelated records.
Build a concise project index
Record dates, role, relevant knowledge and supporting documents for the chosen assignments. Explain limitations or missing records honestly. An index organizes the evidence but does not replace the underlying support or establish that every listed task meets the legal standard.
Work backwards from the elements to the paper. The corporate relationship — parent, branch, subsidiary or affiliate, with both entities active — is carried by ownership charts, share registers and current business records, not by a letter asserting that it exists. The continuous qualifying year abroad, completed within the three years before filing, is carried by payroll records, employment agreements and dated assignment letters. Special or advanced knowledge of the employer’s own product, process or procedures is carried by internal specifications, method statements, training material and the employee’s own deliverables. Because five years is the ceiling, any L time already used belongs in the file as approval notices and admission records.
Hypothetical example: a seed-sorting technician’s employer offers a stack of customer letters calling him invaluable. Praise is not evidence of company-specific knowledge; the calibration procedure he wrote, and the internal revision history showing that he wrote it, is. Where the employer intends to place him at an unaffiliated client site, the file also needs the contract and reporting lines showing the petitioner keeps principal control and supervision, because a placement that reads as labour-for-hire fails whatever the technical showing looks like.
Give every exhibit one job and label it with the element it settles. Where a record cannot be obtained, state what is missing and why, and leave the gap visible instead of filling it with volume.
