Hypothetical example: a licensed land surveyor in Inverness County is weighing a mapping-firm offer in the United States while a spouse keeps a home-based bookkeeping practice and a seventeen-year-old finishes school. Every one of those three plans rests on a different piece of paper. Naming the deciding document for each one, before anybody books travel, is faster than assembling a folder and hoping it covers everything.
TN, L-1A, L-1B, E-2, EB-5 and the Gold Card each turn on a specific proof rather than on a general impression of readiness. TN turns on citizenship and a listed profession's own qualification rule. L-1A and L-1B turn on a year of qualifying employment abroad and the duties actually proposed. E-2 turns on treaty nationality, committed capital at risk and control of a real operating business. EB-5 turns on lawful capital and ten qualifying jobs. The Gold Card follows its own official gift framework. This edition covers the Municipality of the County of Inverness and does not extend to neighbouring municipal corporations.
Choose what brings you here. Leave with a short list of things to discuss—not another long form to fill out.
A listed profession sets its own entry rule, and that rule decides the file.

Write each requirement on its own line and name the one record that would settle it: a citizenship certificate, a registration letter from a licensing body, an incorporation record, a signed lease, a payroll register, a tax assessment. Where no single document settles a point, that is the line to work on first, because it is the line that will still be open in three months. A thick file assembled without that mapping tends to prove the easy facts several times over while leaving the deciding one unsupported, and volume is not read as substitute proof.

A practical plan.
No promises we can’t keep.
Write out the conditions the chosen route actually imposes, in plain words, before collecting a single page of evidence.
Attach one specific document to each condition, then mark the conditions that have no document behind them yet.
Rank the documents by how long the issuer realistically takes, start the slowest first, and check whether any of them expire.
A changed employer, purchase price, shareholding or family circumstance can move which document decides the question.
Once the deciding documents are named, sort them by how long each takes to obtain. A licensing body's letter, a foreign tax transcript and a certified translation move at different speeds, and the slowest one sets the honest start date. Contracts, seasonal work windows and school terms are real pressures, but none of them advances an immigration date. Ask what happens to the plan if the slowest document arrives two months late.
Find your pathwayBring the actual offer, transfer proposal or purchase agreement to a consultation, together with the list of requirements you could not match to a document. That list is usually more useful than the paperwork already gathered, because it shows where the case is genuinely open. Shneur Herman, Jo Kubti and Alexander Paton work remotely with clients across the province; this edition describes no office and no local appointment. Accounting, corporate and licensing advice may be needed alongside immigration review, and each of those answers a different question about the same file, on its own timetable.
Let’s connectArrange a remote consultation to discuss your next steps.
No. The listed profession's own qualification rule governs, and years of related work do not substitute for it unless that profession's own entry allows an experience alternative. Read the entry rather than relying on how the role is described locally.
Not necessarily. Ask the licensing body what it issues for immigration purposes, whether the confirmation carries the registration number, class and expiry, and how long that document is treated as current once issued.
Sometimes, but check that it actually does rather than assuming. A share register proves who owns a company; it does not prove that the company has been trading, and those are two separate conditions.
It covers the Municipality of the County of Inverness. The Town of Port Hawkesbury and the neighbouring county municipalities have their own editions.
